Pata, a family owned business producing potato-based snacks based in Castiglione delle Stiviere near Mantova, has focused its activity on all round quality.
It is the first company in Italy in the snacks sector to be certified UNI ISO EN 9000 by Cisqcert.
Pata employs 200 people and processes 30.000 tons of potatoes per year. The turnover is 35 million Euro per year, 50% involves potato chips and the other 50% involves pellets, extruded snacks and popcorns.
The company strategy is projected towards the constant update of its processing technology: beginning with the choice of selected raw materials to obtain a quality final product, from the production chain to the distribution.
The quality of the raw materials is essential and Pata focuses its attention to choosing the right potato varieties, most of them coming from national producers.
These are the reasons why Pata decided to adopt the Levati Food Tech technologies to guarantee the delicate treatment of frying oils to obtain healthy finished products.
Levati Food Tech has also designed and installed an innovative system to recover heat from the fryer giving considerable energy savings.
The accent that Pata has put on quality, has lead to the company’s co-operation with the biggest food chain stores in Italy.
