Processing
GEA Levati Food Tech vegetable processing lines produce top quality pre-cooked vegetables through a complete process which includes receiving, washing, sorting, cutting, dosing, sterilizing and packing.
When the process starts the fresh raw vegetables are fed into a washing plant to remove any dirt and earth, then are twice-sorted to remove the waste, which is conveyed to the collector system for disposal. The vegetables assume the selected shape through appropriate cutting, dicing and slicing systems. Specific coring machines are provided where requested by the process. Electronic and traditional sorting systems can be provided to eliminate non conformity and further dirt particulates.
The vegetables are then cooked, grilled, and finally dosed in the selected containers with the appropriate media or delivered to the freezing system. Weight control and rejection systems complete the lines.
Final inspection can then take place through metal detectors or ray technology. |
