Sterilization technology by GEA Levati Food Tech

Since its foundation, GEA Levati Food Tech has developed palletizing and sterilization lines for metal tins and glass jars, particularly suitable for the fish industry.

In 1994, we widened our range of machinery to include the tuna steam cooker and vacuum cooler.

In 1997 we designed and supplied our first complete plant for tuna and sardines processing and packaging with a capacity of 50,000 kg/day of tuna fish. Today, this plant is still considered one of the most advanced tuna plants in Europe.

In 1999 “COMBY” was introduced: an innovative automatic crate loader/unloader supplied in a complete automatic sterilization plant to CALVO (Spain).

Today, we supply the most advanced fish industry sterilization technologies starting from the receiving and splitting section to the cooking units, the complete automatic cleaning tables down to the packaging machines in pouches, ending with the sterilization section for square and round tins and round or shaped glass jars.
