GEA Levati Food Tech “Prima” retort in its static application provides a wide range of units for higher productivity, reliability, sanitation, flexibility and safety. The robust structure of Prima is designed for easy maintenance and flexible usage. Prima guarantees perfect sterilization of in-container food products and can handle cans, glass jars, retortable carton, pouches and plastic containers.
The "Prima" range of rotary retorts is designed to guarantee absolute reliability, sanitation, environmental safety and advanced sterilization performance. Its gentle rotating technology enhances the heat penetration rate of convective products thus obtaining further reduction of sterilization cycle times, while preserving the organoleptic properties of the product. Four independent support wheels are used to achieve optimal weight distribution during rotation; special 3-piece rotating joint design ensures shaft high speed rotation free of any interference determined by product load. Furthermore, the advanced rotary design allows high RPM of the product baskets during sterilization, optimal temperature distribution, optimized thermal exchange and short cycle time. An individual basket clamping system, pneumatically actuated, as well as specially designed rubber layer pads guarantee soft handling of metal and glass containers.
