The Maccaluso family, already owners of the "Gaetano Maccaluso & F.lli Spa", specialized in tuna fishing in the Mediterranean Sea, founded the new CO.AL.MA. Spa company in 1967. Today the company processes preserved fish, distributed all over Italy and Europe with his own brands as well as a "private label".
In the catering market, the company has currently a leading position for the Bluefin and Yellofin tuna variety.
Maccaluso Family continues today to process tuna and "blue fish" (anchovies, sardines…) according to the traditional Sicilian recipes while considering the opportunities offered by new technologies.
This is why CO.AL.MA has chosen Levati Food Tech for its new sterilizing line for glass jars based on two autoclaves Prima 12 40/D WR. The Prima autoclaves feature an extended update of the control panel which assures improved operation easiness and reliability.
