Company history

Levati Food Tech was established in 1966 by Mr. Renzo Levati and is situated near Parma. Levati Food Tech started its activity manufacturing washing systems and conveyors for fruit and vegetable processing lines. Afterwards the company widened its range of products by developing retorts for packed vegetable sterilization. In 1974 Levati Food Tech introduced the first rotary retort suitable for processing meat cans to the market. In 1980 the first complete line for French fries potatoes bearing the name of Levati started its production followed six years later by the first complete line for potato chips. At the same time Levati developed a suitable range of palletising and depalletising systems to complete its offer in the food processing business.
In 1999 Levati joined Procomac industries and the two production sectors of the company were divided: the packaging division became Procomac Packaging Srl, while a new company was established, named Levati Food Tech Srl.
